2. Introductory Provisions
Thank you for choosing to stay with us. These General Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between The Hotel LJ d.o.o. (hereinafter: the hotel) and the guest, and form an integral part of every reservation and contractual relationship. By making a reservation, the guest confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
3. Currency and Prices
All hotel service prices are in euros (€ / EUR) and include value added tax (VAT). The tourist tax is not included in the accommodation price and amounts to: Tourist tax is not included in the price of accommodation:
- Adults: €3.13 per person per day
- Children between 7 and 18 years of age: €1.57 per person per day
We kindly ask you to indicate the total number of persons staying in the room when making your reservation, regardless of age.
4. Reservation
Reservations can be made through the website www.thehotel.si, in writing to info@thehotel.si, by phone at +386 (0)1 5883 200, or in person at the hotel reception. Reservations can also be made through third-party online portals. When booking through a third-party portal, the guest agrees to the portal’s booking terms and conditions as well as these general hotel terms and conditions.
5. Reservation Guarantee
A valid debit or credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation. The card is not charged at the time of booking – it is used as a guarantee only.
The full amount of the stay will be charged 48 hours before the estimated arrival date. By providing payment card details, the guest agrees to the above described method of securing and paying for the reservation. Payment details are processed through the Rentlio secure reservation system in accordance with PCI DSS standards.
For non-refundable rates, the full amount of the stay is charged at the time of booking.
6. Cancellation and Modification of Reservation
To modify or cancel your reservation, please contact us using the details provided above.
The hotel offers different types of reservation (tariffs), which may have different cancellation and payment conditions. At the time of booking, the guest is explicitly informed of the conditions applicable to the tariff chosen.
– Flexible booking: guests can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled arrival time (10:00, 48 hours before the arrival date). In case of no-show or late cancellation, one night will be charged, unless otherwise specified in the individual reservation.
– Non-refundable: cancellation or change of booking is not possible with this tariff. In case of cancellation or no-show, the full amount of the reservation will be retained by the hotel.
If the terms of the individual booking (tariffs) state otherwise, the terms set out in the booking confirmation will prevail.
The right of withdrawal under consumer protection legislation does not apply to accommodation services, as these are services provided on a specific date or within a specific period (exception for accommodation services). Cancellation conditions are governed by these general terms and conditions and the cancellation policy applicable to the individual reservation.
7. Payment
The Hotel accepts the following payment methods:
- Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard/Eurocard, Diners, Maestro, JCB, UnionPay
- Cash
- Purchase order (for companies only – must be delivered in person or to info@thehotel.si by 12:00 noon on the day of arrival)
- Proforma invoice (proof of payment must be sent to info@thehotel.si; the invoice must be settled at least 24 hours before arrival)
8. Check-in and Check-out
Check-in is possible at any time and the reception is open 24 hours a day. Check-out is possible until 11:00 on the day of departure.
Early check-in and late check-out are available upon prior arrangement with reception and may be subject to an additional charge.
Upon check-in, guests must present a valid identity document (identity card or passport) and complete the registration form. Guests must also present the payment or credit card used when making the reservation.
9. Early Departure
The hotel is not obliged to refund the value of unused nights in the event of early departure. Any exceptions based on the reason for early departure require prior approval from hotel management.
10. Children
Children up to 6 years stay free of charge in a room with their parents or 2 adults. Children over 6 years are charged the same price as adults.
11. The Restaurant
The Restaurant serves local and Mediterranean dishes in a modern interpretation. The Restaurant is available to hotel guests and serves local and Mediterranean cuisine in a contemporary interpretation. The à la carte menu is available from 12:00 to 22:00, with the restaurant closing at 23:00.
A served breakfast is included in the bed and breakfast rate and is available in The Restaurant from 07:00 to 11:00.
12. Pets
Pets are allowed. Extra charge of € 30 per stay.
13. Parking
Guests can park in the hotel’s own car park, which is located close to the hotel. The car parks are not directly next to the hotel, but some distance away. Parking costs € 30 per day.
Parking must be reserved in advance – when booking your room or at the latest before arrival – by contacting reception on +386 (0)1 5883 200 or info@thehotel.si. Parking spaces are not guaranteed without prior reservation.
14. Smoking
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hotel. In the event of a violation, the hotel reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee.
15. Room Key Card
The key card is the property of the hotel and is used to access the room and selected hotel services. The guest receives it upon check-in and must return it to reception upon check-out. In the event of loss or damage, the hotel reserves the right to charge a replacement fee.
16. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid until the expiry date stated on the voucher. If no expiry date is stated, the voucher is valid for one year from the date of issue. The original gift voucher must be presented prior to using services at check-in at reception. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
17. Additional Services
When ordering additional services from external providers (transport, laundry and dry cleaning, excursion organisation, etc.), the guest agrees that the hotel may share their contact details with the service provider to the extent necessary for the execution of the requested service. Further details are provided in the Privacy Policy.
18. Hotel Liability
The hotel is liable for damage caused to guests through its own fault or the fault of its employees, in accordance with applicable Slovenian legislation.
The hotel accepts no liability for:
- Theft or loss of valuables, cash, documents or personal belongings not deposited in the hotel safe.
- Damage to vehicles parked in external car parks not directly managed by the hotel.
- Damage resulting from force majeure or circumstances that the hotel could not have foreseen or prevented.
- Disruptions to external services (internet, television, external parking, etc.) caused by failures of external providers.
The guest is liable for all damage caused by their own conduct or the conduct of persons they have invited to the hotel, to the hotel, its equipment or third parties. The hotel reserves the right to seek compensation for any damages incurred.
19. Force Majeure
The hotel shall not be liable for non-performance or delay in performance of its obligations resulting from circumstances that the hotel could not have foreseen, prevented or overcome and which are beyond its reasonable control (force majeure). Such circumstances include in particular: natural disasters, fire, flooding, epidemics, pandemics, strikes, armed conflicts, government measures, power outages and similar events.
In the event of force majeure, the hotel will notify the guest immediately and both parties will seek an appropriate solution in accordance with applicable legislation.
20. Intellectual Property and Use of the Website
All content on the website www.thehotel.si, including texts, photographs, graphics, logos and other elements, is protected by copyright and is the property of The Hotel LJ d.o.o. or its licensed partners. Reproduction, distribution or any other use of the content without the written permission of the controller is not permitted.
The website is intended exclusively for lawful, personal and non-commercial use. Any misuse of the website is prohibited, including system intrusion, distribution of malicious software or any other conduct that could harm the operation of the website or the rights of third parties.
21. Prize Draws and Competitions
The hotel may publish prize draws and competitions on the website or on its Facebook and Instagram profiles. Separate terms and conditions will be published for each individual prize draw, available on the website or profile on which the competition is announced. By participating in a prize draw, the participant accepts the applicable terms and conditions.
22. Dispute Resolution
These General Terms and Conditions are governed by Slovenian law. The parties agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of Slovenian courts.
Any complaints or claims should be submitted in writing to info@thehotel.si. The hotel undertakes to respond to every written complaint within 8 working days.
